"Benvention" of the week, #1

Invention Type: Business Idea
Probabilty of success: 3 (scale of 1-10)

Synopsis: Selling Mountain Dew manufactured from various country around the world.I’ve tasted both Japanese Mountain Dew and New Zealand Mountain Dew, and they are distinctly different from the Dew in the US. If someone started importing Dew from all over the world and them sold it on Ebay or their own site, they could probably sell it at a significant profit. Especially if it was marketed correctly- with a air of exclusivity. I know I’d love it if guests could come over to my house and I was able to offer them 5 different types of original flavor Mountain Dew.

Do they still make Mountain Dew? I have a trivia question about the dew.

What is its main flavor ingrediant?

You may find the answer at Steams Blog.

Shameless plug of ones own site.

I find that comment offensive. I would never promote !!!*!STEAMS BLOG!*!!!! on another lesser blog. How dare you.

I totally know what you mean. A few years ago, my sister brought me back some English Dew. It was very different, kind of like NZ Dew, and even the logo on the can was totally different. If someone had a party and was able to serve me 5 different kinds of Dew (especially if they served it with an air of exclusivity), I would be sure to attend, even if I had to pay a cover.

Ed, yet again, another brilliant comment.

Is this “The Ed”? I going to assume it is, since you’re the only Ed who knows of this site, as far as I know.

How hard would it be to start a company like this? My only fear would be my insatiable desire to drink all the “profits”. We should do it. Even if it doesn’t work, and we end up not selling any of the Dew, what would be the worst case scenario? EXACTLY!
